Shweta and Aditya’s journey started with love, rain, and music

We met on Bumble and connected over our IT backgrounds. After a few dates, we fell in love. Aditya proposed during a birthday trip to Imagica. Our families bonded well, leading to a beautiful winter wedding with six events. Aditya surprised me by singing at our Sangeet. It was unforgettable.

How They Met

We met on Bumble, chatted a bit, and discovered that we both belong to the IT industry. We had a lot in common to talk about. Our first date was a candlelight dinner with wine where we could barely see each other. I (Shweta) felt a spark on our second date, which was a movie night. He came running to me because he was late, and I noticed his long hair flowing in the air. 🤩

On our third date, we both realized that we shared affection for each other and kissed. We dated for about six months. We went to Imagica on my (Shweta’s) birthday. It was raining on the way, so he parked the car, kissed me, and proposed. So when we reached Imagica, I already had a ring on me. 🤩🤩 It was as dreamy as it sounds, or even more.

How They Decided to Get Married

Both our families are quite open-minded, so it was a smooth ride. My family likes him more than me. He came to my home alone to meet my parents over lunch. Later, I went to his home to meet his parents over coffee. Then our parents met each other over lunch. We all found an instant connection with each other. He proposed to me in July 2023, and we got married in December 2023 because we wanted a winter wedding. We had our honeymoon in New Zealand from December 20th, 2023, to January 3rd, 2024

Aditya never wanted a fancy wedding; he wanted to do a court marriage. It was all my idea and planning, and he agreed. Though we did divide all expenses 50-50. We had 6 events in total where we both participated.
