This wedding is about two wonderful people met through an online matrimonial site, but the chance encounter was so amazing that the two found their forever in each other. How They Met
It was a very interesting and destined marriage. Totally bollywood kind of story. His proposal came through our relatives. At that point of time, Harshad was in Dubai and I rejected him since I did not want to leave Mumbai. But he was the exact man of my dreams. A year later, I again found him on Jeevansathi and I did not remember he was the same guy. At that time, he was in Mumbai. We chatted for the first time for 5 hours, met and it was love at first sight. Our families agreed and our roka happened in 2020. We then had a long distance of year as I moved for my further studies.
How They Decided to Get Married
Our marriage was a covid wedding. Despite all odds, we managed to hold a grand wedding at ND Film World. We got engaged in Ahmedabad and it was surreal. Our engagement happened in November 2020. We had several postponements but eventually, we were lucky to not cut short any wedding event. All the events happened in a grand way.
We both wanted a royal wedding at a palace. We had a Bollywood wedding at ND Film World. Ours was a 5 day event starting with Pooja.
Engagement:
Mehendi:
Mehendi which were intimate affairs at our respective homes. The wedding festivities at ND Film World were mehendi on which I opted to wear a floral lehenga and jewellery. The lehenga was from Dressline Fashion. The floral jewellery was designed by Kayos design. The decor complimented our outfits. Harshad opted for a floral manyavar outfit.
Sangeet:
It was followed by Sangeet in evening where I surprised my groom with a special dance performance dedicated to him. He did surprise me too with his performance. It was a fun -filled bollywood evening. I wore a lilac outfit from Jiya By Veer Design studio.
Wedding Day:
Then came the main wedding day, on which I wanted to look nothing short of regal and royal bride in red. The wedding was a palatial wedding. Harshad and I looked like prince and princess. I wore Kalki outfit and he wore manwayar outfit.
Reception:
The reception look I wanted in red saree to complement an Indian wedding. The saree was from roopkala sarees. My makeup artist Nikki Shah understood my requirement to have minimal makeup and she brought me. When I look back at photographs, I really feel that I remain in that day. I looked nothing short of gorgeous. We were very stressed about the perfect wedding. I planned my wedding since I always wanted everything to be perfect since childhood. When I was a little girl, I had planned every minute details of my wedding since then. I used to maintain a wedding planner and a dairy to jot down every minute details and to bring it to effect.
The entire wedding at ND Film World was planned keeping our story and our liking of royal wedding in mind. I really loved my wedding day!
